Quick recap: • Step 5: How to Setup and Use Google Analytics to Track Customer Visits and Purchases • Step 6: How to Use Social Media to Drive Traffic to Your Store • Step 7: Using Advanced Techniques Such as Video Marketing, Email Marketing, Search Engine Optimization/Search Engine Marketing, Paid Search, and Social Media Don’t let the term analytics scare you. I agree it is a fancy, somewhat intimidating word, but let’s make it simple: 1. You need to know how your customers are finding your ECD store. Is it from your email campaign, Google search, Twitter, Facebook, word of mouth? (You get the idea) 2. Once you know where they are coming from, you can do more of the successful stuff that brings you more paying customers. For example, if you knew a lot of your paying customers were coming from Twitter, through the Tweets you posted, it does not take a genius to figure you need to tweet more instead of perhaps using Facebook – this is just one use of analytics. 3. There are many other uses for analytics; the above was just an example to get you to see the importance and to use your time and marketing dollars (if you have any) wisely. 4. Sign up for a Google Analytics account here. (If you already have a Google account made from a previous lesson, you do not need to create another one.) For those who have a Google account established already, simply login to your account and then click on Analytics to begin the process of adding it to your account. 5. EasyCardDesigner is integrated with Google Analytics! (How cool is that?) - Once you have signed up for your analytics account, all you need to do is provide us with your Google Analytics id, the one that starts with “UA...” – we will input it into the system and you can begin tracking your traffic 6. Email

with email subject “Let’s track this on Google” –please include the whole URL of your store. Sorry, another long email. I’ll try to keep the next one short! Since the subject of analytics can be a little hard to grasp, we will be making more videos, blog posts, and holding live webinars on the subject of analytics. Stay tuned!
